DONATIONS
Milford Makes thrives on community generosity. Your donations help fuel our Makerspace, where materials support workshops, pop-ups, and community projects. Gently used supplies also become part of our Creative Reuse Center, where they’re made available at low cost to the community, helping sustain everything we do.
Phase 1: Targeted Donation Drives
As Milford Makes grows, we’re beginning with small, targeted donation drives connected to our pop-up workshops and events. This allows donated materials to be used right away in community art and craft projects.
Because we do not yet have storage space for ongoing donations, we’ll announce specific materials and drop-off details as events are scheduled.
Future Needs: Infrastructure & Makerspace Supplies
Once we have a permanent space, we’ll be looking for essentials to set up our creative home:
- Tables and chairs for workshops and pop-ups
- Shelving and storage units
- Desks, counters, and workspace surfaces
- Basic office supplies (pens, paper, staplers, printers, etc.)
Future Needs: Art & Craft Materials
When we’re ready to accept art supplies, we’ll be looking for a wide range of items to support our creative reuse center, community projects, and classes:
- Paper: magazines, scrapbooking paper, ephemera, postcards, doilies, stickers, cardboard
- Fibers & Textiles: yarn, fabric, lace, ribbon, needles, embroidery goods, elastic, notions, zippers
- Jewelry: beads, charms, findings, wire, cord, packaging and displays
- Tools & Supplies: scissors, paintbrushes, glue, tape
- Art Supplies: paints, markers, colored pencils, easels, pallets
- Kid’s Crafts: Craft foam, crayons, perler beads, pipe cleaners
- Miscellaneous: picture frames, craft and picture books, storage containers, clip boards
How to Help
When we have donation drives and when a permanent space is ready, we’ll share instructions for drop-offs and monetary donations. For now, the best way to get involved is to sign up for our newsletter so you’ll be the first to know when we’re collecting materials.
